In August 2013 I made the trip with my family to the UK to celebrate the marriage of my beautiful niece Cheryl Oliver to the wonderful Charles McFarlane on the 10th August, at the stunning Mangapp Manor, Essex, UK.

 

When Cheryl was a young girl and i lived in the UK i made her and my other nieces and nephews birthday cakes, and i remember telling her that one day i will be making her a weding cake........I didn't realise at that stage i would be moving to Australia !

 

I was so pleased to hear of Cheryl's wedding plans and was priviledged when she asked if my daughter could be her bridesmaid and.........if i could make her wedding cake ! 

 

I had a friend in Kent, Uk that also has a cake business, Bespoke Cakes by Danielle and she agreed to help me by getting some supplies to make it easier as i would only be in the uk a week before the wedding. 

 

I enjoyed making the wedding cake and felt pleased to have kept my promise, I enjoyed every moment of the wedding with my family and also all the time we got to spend with many other relatives.

The wedding cake was white chocolate mud cake covered with white chocolate ganache and white fondant diplaying beautiful blue dusted icing frangpanis.
